Mental health in elite athletes: International Olympic Committee consensus statement (2019)

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) convened a consensus meeting on 12–14 November 2018 in Lausanne, Switzerland, at which experts reviewed the scientific literature addressing mental health symptoms and disorders in elite athletes. The participants analysed the current best evidence to provide a consensus statement for clinical practice and individual and systemic interventions to improve mental health among elite athletes.
